I love digitally manipulating images. I absolutely love it. It's always been one of my favorite things to do on lazy days to while away the time. I came up with the original Bearshark around September 2008. One day during an extremely slow shift at work I decided to put 2 of my all-time favorite creatures together into one glorious package. The Bearshark was quickly born. A few weeks later I saw that Worth1000.com was having a Chimera competition, but it stated that at least 3 creatures needed to be combined to be entered. That's where the octopus tentacles came in. I submitted the finished picture, but was disqualified because apparently the tentacles came from a copyrighted image. I filed the picture away with all my other projects and forgot about it.

A year later I decided for whatever reason to submit the picture to Reddit. The picture took off, and was all over the internet for quite a while. Having just moved to a new city, and being unemployed at the time, I decided I might try and make a few bucks while I could to pay the bills, so here we are. Photoshop is a powereful tool, and a ton of fun once you get the hang of it. I'm pretty much 90% self taught, but have been using it for several years.
